Global 8 Environmental Technologies, Inc. Provides Update to Shareholders
Global 8 Environmental Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: GBLE) (http://www.g8et.com), a leading developer of environmental technology solutions, today announced that it has received a Letter of Engagement from the Deh Gah Gotie Dene Council of Fort Providence, Canada to provide environmental and engineering solutions to solve the solid waste management, sewage treatment and energy crises in that community.
The community of Fort Providence is known as Canada’s Gateway to the North and has abundant supplies of pure glacier water, rich gold and diamond deposits, uranium deposits, and major oil and gas reservoirs. A new $170 million bridge, currently under construction at Fort Providence and financed by a consortium consisting of the TD Bank, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Fund, and Sun Life Financial, will create the only all-weather road link for distributing the billions of dollars of natural resources in Canada’s Northwest Territories to the rest of the world.
Global 8 has been commissioned by the Dene Band Council to make Fort Providence a “Global Demonstration Center for Environmental Sustainability in Arctic Regions.”
Global 8 will also provide a technical report for the development of Fort Providence Environmental Technology Centers, which would include a self-sustaining community that includes hotels, restaurants, vehicle servicing facilities, recreation facilities, and education facilities. The Environmental Technology Centers will showcase hydroelectric, wind and solar energy technologies to maintain green energy needs and create cutting-edge solutions for the “green communities” of tomorrow.
“This is the first of many technical reports that we will be bringing to Global 8, as we work with the Aboriginal peoples across this country,” said Darrel Gerrits of Osaw Maskwa Consulting. “It is inspiring to see the Elders and Chiefs of the Dene Band working together to restore harmony to nature. We can never forget that Mother Earth must be recognized as a legacy, not a commodity. Together with Global 8, we are fulfilling that mission.”
Ed Kroeker, President and CEO, said: “We are excited to launch this first technical report as a full demonstration of the capabilities of our Environmental Technology Centers. This project demonstrates our conviction that today’s environmental crisis affects everyone on the planet. There are no locations too remote and each crisis provides opportunities for solutions.”
