April 7, 2005 - Burnaby, BC - EAPI Entertainment, Inc. (OTC BB: EPEI) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Organic Recycling Technologies, Inc. ("Organic Recycling") has signed a binding agreement to purchase all know how, marketing efforts, existing projects, leads, client listings and all site work in China from Waste Consultants Limited which has developed these assets over the previous five years. With this purchase the Organic Recycling team, engineering team and the technology team expands and has the experience, know how, expertise and technologies to complete all these projects sites in China. The purchase price for all assets is US$500,000 and the vendor has accepted a convertible debenture in full consideration of the purchase price.
The world’s fastest growing economy holds incredible opportunities for Organic Recycling. China recognizes that their explosive growth has created an environmental nightmare and they are determined to reverse this problem. With the 2008 Olympics coming to Beijing, the world’s attention and media will be focused on China and the government is determined not to have a polluted landscape and atmosphere blighting its image.
Organic Recycling’s technology is ideally suited for Chinese waste streams, which are not segregated. The technology has the ability to take unsorted waste as well as sewage sludge and produce compost suitable for land application. The inorganics included in the waste stream are processed and emerge as sterilized product suitable for benign land filling. A significant volume reduction takes place, which is critical in this country of 1.1 billion people.
Organic Recycling has focused on two regions in China, Guangdong Province and the Chongqing region of Southeast China.
Guangdong Province has a population of over 90 million in an area of 424 kilometers (265 miles) wide by 424 kilometers (265 miles) long (180,000 square kilometers - 70,200 square miles). It has extensive agricultural production, heavy manufacturing and food production. The climate is sub tropical. Here Organic Recycling has secured an initial commitment of two 25 year contracts to supply two plants each 1000 tonnes per day of mixed waste (800 tonnes domestic waste plus 200 tons of sewage sludge) After successful construction and commissioning of these plants the authorities have indicated a potential for a minimum of 50 plants for the province.
Chongqing, in Sechuan Province, is essentially a City State. It has a population of approximately 32 million in an area of 151 kilometers (95 miles) wide by 151 kilometers (95 miles) long (23,000 square kilometers - 9,000 square miles). As in Guangdong Province, Organic Recycling has secured commitments for two 25-year contracts for 1000 tonnes per day of mixed waste. Authorities have indicated a potential of at least 20 plants in the Chongqing area.
At this point Organic Recycling has only covered a small portion of the Chinese potential. Continued efforts will no doubt expand this potential exponentially.
Danny Huang, a partner in Waste Consultants Limited said, "Organic Recycling is arriving in China with over five years of ground work completed. We have opened the doors and are ready to work with Organic Recycling Technologies to complete these projects, with the support and confidence of the highest levels of government and business."
Ralph Petruzzo, President of the Company, added, "We have acquired the projects and expertise to compete and grow in the world’s largest and most lucrative market. The potential returns for the Company are tremendous and the Organic Recycling team is aggressively securing and closing all these new multi-million dollar projects for the Company."
